Lee-Ann Liebenberg to marry in Cape Town this weekend

Top SA model Lee-Ann Liebenberg is set to marry her fiancé, Nicky van der Walt, this weekend in Cape Town.

Regarded as one SA’s most sought-after models within the industry, Lee-Ann – who gave birth to baby Gia (four months old) in October last year – has been secretly planning her wedding for months now and looks set to marry the father of her child at an “intimate ceremony” to be held at a secret location in Cape Town over the long weekend.

The couple’s publicist, Andrew Farr, confirmed that the wedding is set to take place “somewhere in Cape Town this weekend.”

He declined to give any further details other than to say it would be an “intimate, elegant and chic affair”, with a “prestigious guest list”.

Liebenberg and businessman van der Walt got engaged at Rambagh Palace in Jaipur, India in March last year.

Cape Town fashion designer Gavin Rajah took to the social medium platform of Facebook to share the news with the world that he’s working on her wedding dress.

"Working on Lee-Ann Liebenberg dress for her big day and dresses for all the gorgeous ladies attending her wedding!” shared Rajah yesterday.

According to a number of sources TV presenter and best friend Zuraida Jardine is rumoured to be one of the bridesmaids. Close friends and family of the couple are expected to arrive in The Mother City from Johannesburg from today onwards for the nuptials.

The wedding couple has already arrived in Cape Town and are putting the final touches to their wedding ceremony, over the long weekend.

Earlier this month, Liebenberg posted a photo of a pair of silver Christian Louboutins on her official Facebook page, which she’s rumoured to be wearing on her special day.

Sources close to the wedding party say the couple have flown in “thousands of flowers from overseas” and guests will be treated to Platinum Reserve Russian Standard Vodka and “expensive champagne”.

“The flowers will range from oriental lilies to phalaenopsis orchids,” shared a source.

The wedding is set to be put together by one of SA’s most prestigious event organisers, Nick Nicolaou.
